Instant Access Basic Laser
Printer Repair And Maintenance Training Released
Texas based My
Tech Guru released a first of its kind training DVD in June 2007 to help
average users tackle common printer problems. The company has now released
an instant access online training version.
Dallas, Texas -
October 22, 2007 - My Tech Guru announced today that its Basic Laser
Printer Repair and Maintenance Training is now available in an instant
access online format. The Windows Media training format is expected to
allow more individuals access to the training as it can be accessed from
anywhere with a broadband Internet connection. This should help firms
reduce printer down time, help maintain a consistent level of document
production, and help reduce fees paid to outside contractors.
The instant access laser printer repair training is currently available in
single-user licenses. The unlimited-user version includes clips in Windows
Media format that could allow corporate help desks to create help pages or
reply to specific user help tickets with URLs to a specific video clip
through the company's WAN. Clips are generally no longer than 5 - 8
minutes in length, basic diagnostic determination can be completed within
an additional 10 - 20 minutes by following the instructions, and then the
repair can be completed directly by the end user. If a diagnostic
determination cannot be made or the problem is more advanced, a technician
ticket can then be generated based upon more complete information. This
procedure can virtually eliminate unnecessary technician visits for basic
maintenance, image defects, and paper jamming issues.
"Instant access to the laser printer repair training was the obvious
next evolutionary step," explained Brad Barton, founder and owner of
My Tech Guru. "This basic laser printer repair training costs less
than a single maintenance kit, substantially reducing outsourced repair
costs and minimizing down time. Not only that, I'm showing customers how
to reduce the cost of that maintenance kit by 50% or more in most
cases."
